The two Torino midfielders will do everything possible to recover from their respective injuries, but time is running out
The friendlies are over, and Toro did very well, hitting two draws (1-1 with Almeria and 0-0 with Cremonese) and two victories (1-0 with Espanyol and 4-1 with Monza ). In midfield the blanket is short, and also for this reason the eyes are focused on Barath and other profiles, but at the moment the transfer market has yet to open, and we work with what we have available. The two injuries are different, Linetty’s is more serious than that of the young Turkish player and we are certainly less likely to see him even on the bench.
Linetty’s injury
The number 77 del Toro was injured the day before leaving for his training camp in San Pedro del Pinatar in Spain. He brought back one iliopsoas muscle injury of the left leg. There was talk of a few weeks off, but the midfielder didn’t take part in any friendlies, and it will be difficult to see him on the pitch in the second half. But the last word hasn’t been said yet, and for this very reason the Pole will try to recover and get called up for the match against Verona.
Ilkhan’s injury
On the other hand, the injury of number 14 Ilkhan was different, as he was replaced in the first half during the friendly match against Cremonese, due to a game clash. For him it was just one very strong bruise, but as a precaution he wasn’t brought into the last friendly match against Monza. He hopes to be called up against Verona but in all likelihood he will only be available from the following matches.
