Paramount had promised the second trailer for the new Transformers film for today – and of course kept its word. The preview, which lasts around two minutes, makes it more than clear that fans of the series can expect the usual over-the-top action fare again, even without Michael Bay.

With Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, the battle between the Autobots and Decepticons enters its seventh round. The venue is earth again, back in the 1990s. For the first time, the (good) animal robots Maximals and the (bad) Predacons join the conflict, and the evil Terrorcons are also involved. The new trailer continues to talk about a planet-eating threat, so genre lovers can expect quite a spectacle again.

However, this is no longer directed by Michael Bay. He gave up his director’s chair for Steven Caple Jr., who also directed Creed 2 – Rocky’s Legacy. The cast includes Anthony Ramos, Dominique Fishback and Luna Lauren Vélez. Theatrical release in Germany is June 8, 2023.
