Humanoid Typhoon fans are still debating whether Trigun Stampede is either a prequel series or a completely new version of Vash and his friends who inhabit the desert planet.

The anime series already introduces the allies and enemies of the past of Vash The Stampede Featuring a new aesthetic, including Meryl, Knives, the Nebraska Family, and EG Mine to name a few, the upcoming episode has released a video that brings back one of the most popular supporting characters from the original series. That’s right, Wolfwood is aiming for a great comeback.

The Nicholas D Wolfwood The original landed on Vash’s doorstep, selling himself as a wandering priest who just happened to be sporting some serious hardware. While Nick carried a large cross on his back to fit the priest’s motif, the cross itself was actually a giant weapon that he would use if the need arose.

Unfortunately, Wolfwood was unable to survive the original series, with his death being caused by the group of villains known as the Gung-Ho Guns and remaining one of the most tragic examples of death in the anime medium to this day, so we hope this version of Wolfwood has a better destiny.

Now, Trigun Stampede has shared a new preview of its fourth episode, not only giving us a closer look at Wolfwood’s new design, but also hinting at the adventure to come, which will once again see the armored priest find his way into the Vash’s life.

Recently, crunchyroll revealed the English dubbed cast for Trigun Stampede, with Johnny Yong Bosch returning as the voice of Vash The Stampede, following his original version of the anime protagonist more than two decades ago, which has excited fans of the anime franchise.
