The Washington Post praised the considerable efforts made by Algerian civil protection workers on the rubble sites in Turkey, following the violent earthquake that struck the country last Monday.

Indeed, Algeria dispatched a detachment of 89 intervention and major risk management agents, divided into brigades, including the search and rescue-clearance brigade, the canine brigade and a specialized medical team. A second detachment of 86 Civil Protection elements also joined Syria.
