The Turkish Football Association extends the transfer window again due to the earthquake disaster. As the TFF announces, transfers are still possible until March 5th. The association had previously extended the transfer window from February 8th to February 18th. Game operations have also been suspended for a while, but are expected to resume next weekend.
Gaziantep FK and Hatayaspor will not take part in the rest of the season. The two clubs from southern Anatolia have had to withdraw from playing due to the devastating consequences of the earthquake. Both clubs are excluded from relegation. Most recently, several professionals from the two clubs temporarily switched to other clubs within Turkey, such as Gaziantep professional Alexandru Maxim, who joined Besiktas.
