In 2022, Vodafone had started to switch the frequencies of 350 TV channels. The measure is intended to make the “cable network fit for the future with even more capacity”. But the work is far from finished – so it goes on now.

This year, Vodafone is continuing to switch TV frequencies, as the company announced in its overview at the start of the year. The next few cities and regions will be affected by the frequency change this week.

We have included the list of upcoming changes at the end of the article. There you can see whether you are now also affected by the channel reordering. When it comes to reassigning TV channels, the user basically does not have to do anything – apart from leaving his receiver connected to the power supply at night.

Changeover runs at night

According to Vodafone, the process is largely automated so that the customer hardly notices anything about the measure. If the channel search does not restart by itself, you can trigger it manually. After these next dates in January, there will be a break again until April. It will then continue in April, the dates will be available in good time at www.vodafone.de/hilfe/frequentumbelegung.html. The company plans to complete the frequency conversion in July, exactly one year after the start of the measure. Incidentally, according to Vodafone, a total of 13 million TV customers nationwide will switch their TV and radio stations. The goal is to maintain greater design freedom for more performance and higher data rates in the long term. As a result, Vodafone is increasing the performance of the network for TV, telephony and the Internet.
