The Nintendo Switch fandom remains ecstatic after the release of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The first weekend of its release has just passed and we already have a lot of material to tell you about this wonderful video game.
The first reports say that the new Shigeru Miyamoto and Takashi Tezuka has turned out to be a more than pleasant experience for many.
So much so that some already qualify it as a masterpiece. It is a fact that the video game does not disappoint those who have waited all these years for a sequel to the adventures of Link and Princess Zelda.
There are many who already enjoy the game and based on a report from nintenderosthere is a Twitter user identified as Modoki_returns who explains a method that looks like a software glitch, that allows you to duplicate items like weapons.
So, accompanied by the respective video published on Twitter and the aforementioned medium, we detail how to access this glitch.
- Players must first find a weapon, shield, or bow that meets two conditions: it must be an item Link hasn’t gotten yet, and it must be stronger than any other weapon you have in your inventory. That means that it only works with weapons that have the symbol “???” with a green up arrow next to the question marks.
- One of the other essential things is that players must have at least one weapon of the same type as the one they wish to duplicate in their inventory. Also, it must be weaker than the desired weapon. For example, if you want to duplicate a shield, you must have at least one shield worse than the one you found in your inventory, Nintenderos explains.
- Once the player has nothing equipped except armor, you must pick up the desired weapon to trigger the new item popup. Stick with it and press the + button to open Link’s inventory directly from this Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom popup.
- Sort inventory by strength with the ‘Y’ button. This will cause the new weapon to go to the far left. Then equip another weapon or shield that you don’t mind losing, as it will be replaced by a copy of the one on the ground. Exit this menu and close the new object popup window.
- After this Link should appear to be holding the weapon or shield that was on the ground even though it is not actually equipped. Open Link’s inventory and you can see that the currently equipped weapon or shield shares the same model as the duplicate item but retains its original name.
- Finally you must drop the equipped item on the ground and it will permanently transform into another copy of the newly discovered weapon or shield. All stats and properties are the same, but you lose the item that was replaced.
