Traffic was halted on a Granada Hills street Tuesday when a fight broke out that was caught on video in the middle of the road.

A witness told sister station NBCLA that the motorcyclist and the driver of the pickup truck stopped on Chatsworth Street in the western San Fernando Valley community.

The video showed the motorcycle sideways next to the white van.

Vehicle camera video shows what appears to be a road rage confrontation on a freeway northeast of Los Angeles.

The motorcyclist, still wearing a helmet, repeatedly struck a man who got out of the truck and was on his back in the middle of the lanes.

“He threw the passenger to the ground behind the truck and started hitting him,” witness Gabriella Attanasio said. “At least five to six strokes.”

Details about what led to the confrontation were not immediately available.

At least three drivers stopped as they approached the melee.

Attanasio said the fight continued for a few minutes before both fighters left the venue. In the video, the man on the ground can be seen walking back to the van.

It was not immediately clear if a police report was filed.
