A judge convicted the two material authors in the case of Abril Pérez Sagaón for the crime of femicide, for which the victim’s representation will request the maximum sentence of 70 years in prison.

The judge determined the criminal guilt of Rodolfo “N” and Juán Carlos “N” for the events of April 25, 2019, this during the closing arguments hearing held this afternoon.

According to the legal representative of the case, Héctor Pérez, the arguments that were offered to treat the case from a gender perspective, was the environment of violence in which the victim lived by her ex-husband, who is currently a fugitive.

The lawyer explained that the trial against seven other people linked to the process is still pending, but that they have not been able to vent due to a series of appeals that they have promoted.

“We ask the Court to judge with a gender perspective and to analyze the context of femicide violence and general violence in which she found herself, we are sure that the judge will determine the guilt of the defendants,” Pérez explained this Friday.
