Successful expansion with several new levels, courses and game mechanics that will keep you busy for many hours.

Two Point Campus follows a similar gameplay pattern to its predecessor, Two Point Hospital, and that also means you can likely expect a range of DLCs. The first expansion for Two Point Campus is out now, called Space Academy, and it literally takes you high, because it’s about rockets and space. A good reason to fall back into the well-known two-point spiral of addiction.

Which now sounds worse than it is. But Space Academy once again ensures that Two Point Campus keeps me glued to the screen for hours. Until the new levels are mastered and three stars are earned. Until everything is exhausted that the DLC has to offer. And here you can definitely expect a few hours of new entertainment.

Space awaits you

It’s one of those games that I love coming back to. Just like the predecessor, where I haven’t played all the DLCs yet. The beauty of it is that you don’t follow a common thread that you might forget if you take a long break. And it’s not so complicated that you wouldn’t find your way back into it quickly.

Not Tiberium, but a chunk of space.

So what does Space Academy have to offer? In short: more of what you already loved about Two Point Campus. There are three new levels in which to build your campus, with the level of difficulty increasing slightly with each level. It’s all about space, and with it comes six new majors with appropriately animated classrooms, six new student archetypes, three new events, a new club, new items, and more.

New game elements in Two Point Campus

So there’s a lot going on, including chunks of space raining down on your campus. In order to clear away the remains, you need your janitors. If only it were that… It can also cause diseases later on and you need to adapt accordingly in order to progress with your campus. What’s new is that you don’t unlock parts of the level with money, but by completing various tasks, such as holding a certain number of events and stuff like that. In the third level you even have to buy shuttles to take your students into space.

One of three new university campuses.

In other words: None of this completely overturns the concept of the game, which was not to be expected. It’s really just more of Two Point Campus with a few new ideas thrown in. You can also take the new courses, including the moon dairy, to the other universities in the main game, as can the items, of course.

Two Point Campus: Space Academy – Conclusion

In some places it’s more of the same, but on the other hand it’s more than that. Sure, at its core the universities and processes are similar to those in the main game, but with the new mechanics, courses and so on thrown in, Space Academy offers enough new things to its to justify ten euros. Overall, you have several hours of additional fun here until you have brought all universities to three stars. And you can also use the new things on the already known campus areas. If you didn’t get enough of the main game and want more of it, you can access it here without hesitation.

Two Point Campus: Space Academy Score: 8/10
