On the night of Sunday, the police received a report of a possible drug overdose at a private address in Spydeberg.
Two teenage girls were found lifeless at the scene.
– Cardiopulmonary resuscitation was implemented immediately, but unfortunately none of them could be saved, writes East Police District in a press release.
There was a third teenage girl in the home who was taken to hospital for treatment after consuming narcotic drugs. Relatives have been notified.
– Tragic incident
Police Inspector Lars Reinholdt-Østbye tells TV 2 that all three girls are under 18 years of age.
– They were declared dead on the spot. We are working to map the circumstances of what happened.
He describes the incident as tragic and that there are two girls who had their lives ahead of them.
– It will certainly be noticed in the environment, and then this will probably attract the attention of the local police and other relevant agencies.
The relatives’ assistance lawyer, Thor Anders Smith Hoen, tells TV 2 that he does not want to comment on the case.
One arrested
A man in his 20s was arrested at the scene. He is currently charged with leaving the victim in a helpless state.
– He is charged with the background of how the girls appeared when we arrived at the address. It is a question of what are the reasons for this, says police inspector Reinholdt-Østbye.
TV 2 has tried to contact the defendant’s defense attorney, Knut Ditlev-Simonsen, but so far without success.
To The daily newspaper he says that the man is not in a condition to be questioned at the present time.
– Is it suspected that something illegal has happened?
– It is too early to go into the details. We are investigating broadly and with several hypotheses, but as the plan is now, we will question the accused, and plan to question the girl in hospital, says Reinholdt-Østbye.
The police are investigating the incident with, among other things, forensic investigations at the scene and questioning.
