A The Ukrainian duo who will perform at the Eurovision Song Contest arrived in Liverpool, in the United Kingdom, and praised the country, which receives the competition following the impossibility of Ukraine, which won last year, organizing it, as usual the winning country do.

“We feel like a big family and it warms our hearts – having friends like that who help us through difficult times. We are very grateful for everything”, explained to PA news agency Andrii Hutsuliak, producer who is part of Tvorchi, with Jeffery Kenny. The group will compete with ‘Heart of Steel’ (‘Iron Heart’, in the free translation), in the final of the contest, on May 13th.

The artists said they were received in the city by supporters from Ukraine. “When we were walking, we saw sunflowers (a symbol of Ukraine), huge (Ukrainian) flags”, they listed, explaining that there were also installations that showed how London is supporting the country invaded by Russia.

“We saw installations that are made by Ukrainian and British artists”, they said.

About the song, Hutsuliak said that this could be “for anyone” because it has a universal message about “being strong, confident, courageous and having a positive attitude despite the most negative situations”.

“We feel that all people go through situations like this throughout their lives”, he stressed, adding that they intend to “inspire people to be strong”.

Already when they arrived, the artists were greeted with the anthem of Ukraine.

“It’s about having a positive attitude and everything will be fine. You can see the example of the Ukrainians. We have this war and we feel that we are not safe. We don’t know when a missile will hit us or our friends”, he underlined.

The producer said that with the song he intends to exemplify how “united, we are strong”. “Any citizen of our country is making every effort for victory to come quickly”, he concluded.
