The prime minister’s trip to France is the first since Sweden took over the EU presidency on 1 January 2023.

The two leaders spoke, among other things, about the war in Ukraine, the energy crisis, the climate crisis and the rampant inflation, Kristersson explained during a press conference at the Élysée Palace in central Paris.

At least two nuclear power reactors

He highlighted the development of new nuclear power as an area where the two countries may have particularly good opportunities for cooperation.
