Manchester United have signed new contracts for four players. The Red Devils are now officially announcing that. The working papers of Diogo Dalot (23), Fred (29), Marcus Rashford (25) and Luke Shaw (27) would all have expired in June 2023, but United exercised the club’s option for a one-year extension.

“We are happy because the squad is developing in the right direction and these players are making a massive contribution in that direction”, head coach Erik ten Hag is quoted as saying by his club. And further: “We want to evolve, we want to support these players and we want them to stay part of our process.”

On the other hand, further talks about an even longer cooperation have only been postponed for a year.
