MIAMI.- There is a way to find money that belongs to you and that you have not yet claimed, informa the United States Government on its USAGov page in Spanish. This may apply, for example, to wages unpaid wages, pensions from former employers, tax refunds, insurance policies and state savings bonds.

You can visit the website usa.gov/es/ to locate official databases where unclaimed money can be found.

What is unclaimed money?

If a company, financial institution, or government owes you money that you haven’t collected, it is considered “unclaimed.”

You may be able to request unclaimed money owed to you or a deceased relative if you are their legal heir.

Search for unclaimed money by state

Most of the unclaimed money is held by state governments from bank accounts, insurance policies or state agencies.
