Venezuela: More than 200,000 Venezuelans abroad have updated their information to vote in the Primary

The body that governs the process reported, through its Twitter account, that until 12:30 local time (16:30 GMT) today there were 200,163 “successful” registrations on the website, and urged migrants who have not yet registered to do it so that the number “continues to rise”.

“With the intensification of the campaign inviting to update data and the support of many people around the world, today we exceed 200,000 successful registrations,” said the commission, which maintains a campaign on social networks to invite Venezuelans abroad to participate in the elections, when there are less than 48 hours left before the registration period ends.

Last Monday, the CNP announced the extension, for two more days, of the time for Venezuelans abroad to update their residence information in order to participate in the primaries.

In a statement, the CNP then reported the decision and indicated that the time to update the data will be active through the website www.primariaexterior.com until Sunday, July 9, at 11:59 local time (03:59 GMT day 10).

The platform created to update data, which only applies to citizens over the age of 18 who are registered in the Electoral Registry, was activated on June 7.
