A video captured the moment when armed men, an alleged group of hitmen, fired at the Tourist Police van in Nayarit.
It can be seen in the images how the police unit is chased by a van and meters later when they pair up, at least four men with weapons begin to shoot.
According to the first reports, the events occurred this Friday afternoon on federal highway 200 near the town of Guayabitos, in the municipality of Compostela, in the State of Nayarit.
The State Government reinforced security in said municipality with police officers from different levels, in conjunction with the Secretary of the Navy and the National Guard.
No injuries or casualties have been reported in the attack.
