Mexico City.- In Portland, Oregon, a woman pushed a three-year-old girl onto the subway tracks for no reason, but luckily the assailant has already been arrested.

This is Briana Lace Workman, 32 years old, who has already been prosecuted by the Multnomah County Prosecutor’s Office, in the United States, where she is serving preventive detention without the right to bail.

Given the incident, the woman will face criminal proceedings charged with five counts: attempted assault in the first and third degree, interference with public transportation, disturbance of public order, and reckless endangerment.

What happened to the girl?

The attack occurred on the night of Wednesday, December 28, at one of the Gateway Transit Center stations in northeast Portland, where the girl was waiting for the subway with her mother, who was standing right next to her.

But in a sudden movement, Briana (who was sitting behind the victim) got up to push her towards the subway tracks; in addition to slapping the mother of the minor and a witness who helped rescue her from her.

As a result of the attack, the girl suffered blows to the face and head that caused her intense pain after the attack, according to the report by District Attorney Mike Schmidt.

Regarding the legal process that the detainee will face, no further details have been issued, while, regarding the state of health of the minor, it was reported that she is in recovery.
