Turkey’s Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said on Sunday that two terrorists had carried out a bomb attack outside the ministry building in Ankara, adding that one of them was killed in the blast and the other was “neutralized” by authorities there.

Two policemen were also injured in the explosion. The attack occurred at 9.20 local time.

Images from a surveillance camera that captured the moment the bomb was detonated by one of the terrorists appeared on social networks.

Turkish authorities said the second attacker had been “neutralised”.

The attack comes as Turkish authorities have been conducting operations against ISIS members, according to Al Jazeera.

It is currently unknown who is behind the terrorist attack.

The explosion occurred close to the Parliament headquarters, which was supposed to resume its work on Sunday after the summer vacation. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was expected at the Parliament in the afternoon.
