In the last hours, after a police operation that included a series of raids, a member of a criminal gang that lashed residents of La Plata and Berisso fell, with more than fifteen criminal acts registered in the last year.

Members of the 9th Police Station managed to apprehend one of the two involved in the vicinity of his home located at 84 bis between 133 and 134, while the fugitive has an arrest warrant for the crimes of “repeated qualified robberies.”

At the scene, three firearms, a bulletproof vest and a Volkswagen Bora model that they used to mobilize were seized. In addition, 536 grams of cocaine, money and clothing were found.

According to police spokesmen, it would be a gang made up of two brothers who attacked the front members of the El Mondongo area on several occasions. In this sense, regarding the arrest of one of those involved, they affirmed that he was apprehended a few meters from his home when he put his dog before him to prevent his arrest.

On the other hand, the other brother was not found in his home and remains a fugitive. The raids and arrest warrants occurred after a large investigation that consisted of the analysis of private security cameras and the Operations and Monitoring Center, with the use of vehicles stolen from the victims themselves at the entrances, with their faces covered by ski masks or visors, like tattoos to hide their identity.

In this sense, they reported that both brothers have criminal records for attempted and consummated property crimes, thefts, robberies, qualified robberies, cover-ups and assaults. Guarantee Court No. 5 intervenes at the request of UFI No. 15 of the Judicial Department of La Plata.
