The US Pentagon is keeping an eye on an alleged Chinese spy balloon, which was seen over US airspace.
The object has not been due to the risk of injuring people on the ground.
It was reported that the object could be collecting information from US strategic sites.
Of the places where this balloon was seen was over Montana, where one of the country’s three nuclear missile silos is located, at Malmstrom Air Force Base.
Regarding the issue, Brigadier General Patrick Ryder, Pentagon press secretary, issued a brief statement on the matter where he mentioned that the government continues to track the balloon.
“Currently, it travels at an altitude well above that of commercial air traffic and does not pose a military or civilian threat to people on the ground,” he noted.
