Slow shipping shock between an international transport bus from Ecuador and a bus carrying workers from a company, left the balance of two deceased and 40 wounded. The tragedy occurred in the Sullana – Talara section at kilometer 20+100 of the Panamericana Norte highway, in piura.

According to police information, the bus belonging to the Ecuadorian transport company ‘Cifa’ with license plate OAA-1657b9 was driven by Elvin Javier Benites Moreno, a native of Ecuador; while the vehicle carrying workers from a shrimp company, license plate B9C-966, was parked on the side of the road after suffering a mechanical failure.
For reasons that are the subject of investigation, the driver of the Ecuadorian bus lost control and violently impacted the back of the vehicle that was parked.
As a result of the strong impact, the Ecuadorian died instantly. Felix Antonio Carrion Armijoswho was the co-pilot of the bus and who was trapped between the twisted irons.
The sullanero also passed away Eddy Alexander Avalo Espinoza, who was sitting in the back of the worker bus. The latter died when he was transferred to the Hospital de Apoyo II in Sullana as an emergency.
