You are currently viewing Vision Pro: Apple is said to have canceled a cheaper model

Is interest in Apple’s new VR-AR headset waning before it’s released?

It was originally assumed that the concern would produce more than 1 million devices. Suppliers are now talking about capacities between 400,000 and 600,000.

There is no cheaper Vision Pro available

It was also planned to launch a cheaper model in 2025. However, these plans are said to have been canceled. Apple will produce significantly fewer Vision Pro headsets than originally expected.

Successor not expected until 2027

A successor to the Vision Pro could go into production in the first half of 2027. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who is well connected at Apple, also assumes that it will take a relatively long time for VR headsets to reach the mainstream.

Maybe Apple glasses will reach a mass audience around 2030. If the expensive versions, which can cost around 5,000 euros including accessories, are accepted at all. Not that Apple glasses will ultimately end up like the Apple car, which we no longer hear about…
