The President of the Republic, Mario Abdo Benítez, along with the First Lady, Silvana de Abdo, traveled this Saturday to Brussels, Belgium, to participate in the III Celac-EU Summit of Heads of State and Government, to be held on next July 17 and 18.

As reported by the Presidencythe meeting between both blocks is held eight years after the last meeting at the level of presidents, in an international context in which the post-pandemic recovery and the effects of a conflict on European soil are combined.

the meeting will be key to bringing two regions that share historical, cultural ties and common values ​​even closerincluding respect for democracy, the rule of law and Human Rights, as well as the promotion of inclusive economic growth and sustainable development.

The President of the Republic is accompanied by the National Chancellor, Julio César Arriola, and the Minister of Industry and Commerce, Luis Alberto Castiglioni.
