Vivo should launch V27 line in February with MediaTek chipsets and Sony sensors

The launch of the vivo V27 line is close and should include two models: vivo V27 and vivo V27 Pro. They will be the successors of the vivo V25 series, announced in August last year.

A little before the official launch, the 91mobiles website published an article bringing important details about the cell phones, indicating considerable advances in performance and in the set of cameras.

In terms of design, the vivo V27 will feature a curved screen, the first time this has happened in the line, as this detail was reserved only for the Pro models. Rumors claim that both devices will receive state-of-the-art Sony sensors, which will bring considerable improvements in night photos.

The vivo V27 is expected to be powered by MediaTek’s latest chipset, the Dimensity 8200. It’s unclear whether the standard model will also feature the same processor. Both handsets should feature a color-changing rear panel, a cool detail for those who care about looks.

Unfortunately, other specifications of the device were not disclosed, but with the proximity of the launch, certifications in the coming days should deliver information about the chipset, screen and battery.

Previously, rumors claimed that the vivo V27 lineup will be officially announced in February in India. If this is true, new information should emerge in the coming years. In addition, the line should also have a third cell phone, the vivo V27e. However, it should be announced at a later date, just like the vivo V25e.

In December, vivo launched the vivo S16 line in the Chinese market. It consists of three cell phones: vivo S16e, vivo S16 and vivo S16 Pro.

Now, new information claims that vivo S16 lineup will be launched as vivo V27 in Indian market in early to mid-February. This information is in line with previous rumors that indicated the launch of cell phones in the Indian market for the beginning of 2023.

Last year, vivo launched the S15 line as vivo V25 and it is possible that the same will be repeated this year with the vivo V27 series. However, it was not clear how many devices will make up the line in the country.

In specs, the vivo S16 and S16 Pro feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with support for 120Hz refresh rate, fullHD+ resolution, and support for HDR10+. The vivo S16e, on the other hand, has an AMOLED screen with 120 Hz, FullHD + resolution and a 6.62-inch screen.

Under the hood, vivo S16e, S16 and S16 Pro share Exynos 1080, Snapdragon 870 and Dimensity 8200 chipsets respectively. The vivo S16 Pro has 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, while the vivo S16 and S16e have 12 GB of LPDDR4X RAM. All devices use UFS 3.1 internal storage and come standard with the Android 13 operating system.

For power, the three handsets in the vivo S16 lineup have a 4,600mAh battery unit with support for 66W fast charging.

The vivo V27 line is expected to hit the Indian market in February, according to industry information obtained by 91mobiles. It should consist of vivo V27, vivo V27 Pro and vivo V27e.

The first two models are expected to be announced in February next year, while the vivo v27e is expected to arrive a few weeks later. The vivo V27 family will feature several improvements in design and hardware, arriving as the successor to the vivo V25, announced in August.

Although there are no leaked specifications yet, the line is expected to feature new-generation MediaTek Dimensity chipsets. In this case, the successors of Dimensity 900 and Dimensity 1300.

The vivo V27 will be the standard variant of the family, while the Pro will come as the most powerful device in the series with impressive specs. The vivo v27e, on the other hand, should be the cheapest model in the line with a leaner technical sheet and a competitive price.

Vivo will soon launch vivo V25 4G model. It should hit the market in the second half of November and have identical specifications to the vivo V25e, launched globally in August.

As a reminder, vivo V25e has a 6.44-inch AMOLED screen with FullHD+ resolution, 90 Hz refresh rate, drop-shaped notch, support for HDR10+ and fingerprint reader. Under the hood, it will come powered by MediaTek’s Helio G99 chipset with Mali-G57 GPU.

In memory configurations, it has options with 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM and 128 GB or 256 GB of internal storage, in addition to 8 GB of virtual RAM. For power, there is a 4,500mAh battery unit with 44W charging support.
