During a police check, a car driver fled and later attacked the officers.

Officers from the Egg police inspection carried out a driver and vehicle check with a 57-year-old man from Alberschwende who was driving his car in Alberschwende. An alcohol test with the man showed that he was probably under the influence of alcohol.

The man, who was becoming more and more aggressive, didn’t want to wait for the test on the calibrated alcohol dispenser and ran away down a steep grassy slope. Because it had to be assumed that he could injure himself, the police forces were looking for him. After a short time, the man was found in Alberschwende in the Dreßlen area. He behaved aggressively towards the officers and threatened to kill her. He was arrested using physical force, but he resisted vigorously. He kicked his legs and hit an officer in the face.

The officer was probably slightly injured, the 57-year-old suffered no injuries. After the interrogation at the Egg police station, the man was released. A final report to the public prosecutor’s office in Feldkirch and reports to the district authority in Bregenz will be made. The man’s driver’s license was taken on the spot. Four police patrols were involved in the operation.
