Russia has returned to attack the port city of Odessa in southern Ukrainewith ballistic missiles, killing three Ukrainian civilians and wounding three others, the head of the Military Administration of the Odessa region, Oleg Kiper, said this early Wednesday on his social networks.
Kiper also reported “damage to civil infrastructure,” without giving more details about it.
With these three new fatalities, a total of eight civilians have died in Russian attacks on Odessa so far this week.
On Monday, April 29, Russia launched a Iskander ballistic missile loaded with cluster munition, composed of numerous subminitions that spread around the attack site and explode in different locations to maximize destruction.
Five people died and thirty others were injured in this attack with this type of ammunition that is usually used on the front against tank or troop formations.
The explosions set fire to an emblematic building in Odessa known for its appearance as ‘Harry Potter’s castle’.
