Emirates attacks Netanyahu: “he has no legal capacity” to administer Gaza

United Arab Emirates (UAE), which recognized Israel in 2020, this Saturday denounced some “statements” by the Israeli Prime MinisterBenjamin Netanyahu, in which – he said – he called on the Arab country to participate in the administration of Gaza after the war, and considered that the Israeli “does not have the legal capacity to do so.”

“UAE denounces Israeli Prime Minister’s statementsBenjamin Netanyahu, about a call to the country (Arabic) to participate in the civil administration of the Gaza Strip, which is under Israeli occupation”said the Emirati Foreign Minister, Abdala bin Zayed, on his official account on X.

He highlighted that “Emirates refuses to get involved in any plan aimed at covering the Israeli presence in Gaza”according to his message in X, also reproduced by the official Emirati news agency, WAM.

He also stressed that his country “will be fully prepared to provide all forms of support (…) when a Palestinian government is formed that meets the hopes and aspirations of the brotherly Palestinian people and enjoys integrity, competence and independence.
