Manchester United are about to complete their search for a new striker. Wout Weghorst (30) is expected to fill the gap left by Cristiano Ronaldo (37) in fourth place after terminating his contract and transferring to Al Nassr.

According to information from FT-affiliate site Foot Mercato all parties involved in the deal are close to final agreement, a fee-based loan is planned. In Manchester, the Dutch World Cup driver (two goals) would meet compatriot and coach Erik ten Hag.
Weghorst is currently on loan to Besiktas from Burnley FC. The centre-forward has scored nine goals in 18 games for the Turks, having only scored twice before in a Burnley shirt. The English had brought Weghorst from Wolfsburg almost a year ago for 17.5 million euros.
