CDMX.- Former Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein will be sentenced on February 23 for three counts of rape and sexual assault in Los Angeles.

This Monday, the Variety portal reported that the film producer will be sentenced next month after his lawyers requested a delay in the process to seek the possibility of filing a motion to request a new trial.

Therefore, the judge in the case, Lisa Lench, scheduled that the sentence could be given on February 23, giving Weistein’s defense until February 14 to present the corresponding motion, according to The Wrap.

In case the lawyers do not respond to the motion, Harvey Weinstein will be sentenced on the indicated date.

Harvey Weinstein was found guilty of rape and sexual assault on December 19.

During the hearing on Monday, the former producer appeared in a wheelchair and in the uniform of the Los Angeles County prison.

Harvey Weinstein is currently serving a 23-year prison sentence for sexual assault and rape in New York.
