Sharing private cars could increase individual mobility options, reduce the use of resources and relieve the scarce public space – that’s the vision. As part of citizen mobility, the co-innovation format of UnternehmerTUM’s Digital Hub Mobility, Designit, together with other partners, has investigated this approach and brought the urban experiment “house fleet” to Munich’s streets. The results will be presented on May 11th at the Munich Urban Colab.
As part of the nationwide Digital Hub Initiative, the Digital Hub Mobility works with its interdisciplinary partners on the mobility of the future. Designit, as a strategic partner of this network, supported citizen mobility’s recent pilot project on private or peer-2-peer (P2P) car sharing. Together with other partners such as the City of Munich, BMW Group, SWM, MVG and start-ups, research was carried out on the topic and that Experiment “house fleet” implemented with three Munich house communities. The Digital Mobility Hub is based at UnternehmerTUM, Europe’s largest center for start-ups and innovation.
