A black president, an ex-bimbo who gets naked or even a reunion and a little complexity: 2023 starts smoothly on Netflix from January 1.

After a month of December full of novelties to approach the holidays, the year 2023 is off to a gentle start. No flagship series or major new films, but various novelties to recover from New Year’s Eve and attack the recovery with a smile.

And if you missed the December novelties like Glass OnionFollowing A Knives Out, Pinocchio or the new season ofEmily in Paris, it’s not too late for the January 1st catch-up.

The new series not to be missed in January 2023

That 90’s Show

We take (almost) the same ones and we start again, but not at the same time. Two decades later, Eric and Donna had daughter Leia. In 1995, she went to Wisconsin to spend the summer with her grandparents and met the local young people there. New outfits, new equipment, but the same topics of discussion from January 19: sex, drugs, rock’n’roll and love for the next generation.

In place

Propelled into the light with his first film simply black, Jean-Pascal Zadi returns to the controls of a series created for Netflix. In In place, he embodies an idealistic educator who accidentally finds himself in the presidential race, on the way to becoming the first black president of France. At his side, we find Benoît Poelvoorde, Eric Judor, Marina Foïs or even Fary and Panayotis Pascot. First round on January 20.

Kaleidoscope

What could be better than a very strange series to start 2023? Kaleidoscope is available from January 1st and it is in your interest to have digested your New Year’s Eve well to follow everything. Because the concept of this series is simple (or not): it is understood differently, depending on the order in which you watch the episodes. The pitch remains the same for all spectators: an ace robber and his team want to carry out a complex heist with panache. Betrayal, greed and other small arrangements will disturb the part orchestrated in particular by Giancarlo Esposito (Gustavo in Breaking Bad).
