The works for the construction of the new descent of the Autopista La Plata – Buenos Aires in avenue 520, behind the Regional Market, They are advancing without pause and in the last hours, from the Province they announced that in 60 days the first stage of the works will be ready and that by January it could be finished.

It is a distributor that at kilometer 51 of the route will join the highway with that avenue located between Tolosa and Ringuelet. It will be a road that will improve connectivity and relieve the traffic that currently overflows Diagonal 74 and the Avenida 32 roundabout.

The Minister of Justice and Human Rights, July Winepointed out this Friday that “in the next 60 days it is planned to finish Stage I of the descent, which includes the construction of the embankment and the bridge, and then Stage II will begin, which includes asphalt, lighting and the installation of the road signage and horizontal demarcation”.

“We thank Governor Axel Kicillof that in the coming months the road distributor will be inaugurated on Avenida 520, built by our management, which will be the only one in the Capital region that will connect the La Plata – Buenos Aires Highway with Route 2,” he added. Alak when inaugurating the promoting board at the Club Dardo Rocha de Ringuelet, in 5 between 519 and 520.

The official maintained that “this work will alleviate the descent of Diagonal 74 and will establish a corridor that will link the city, the Ensenada petrochemical pole and Puerto La Plata with the province and the rest of the country.”

He stressed that “it will also improve the flow of vehicles in the horticultural and floricultural productive zone, which is also the seat of industrial companies, commercial service centers, hospitals and the Regional Market to the rest of the country.”

Alak pointed out that “in addition to the lowering of the highway, Axel is benefiting this town with the new resurfacing of the Camino Centenario and the future widening of the Camino General Belgrano, scheduled for his next term.” And he added that “if the origin of Ringuelet, in 1886, was linked to progress, with the railway and the brick factories, now it must once again be a center of work and production, based on the new road infrastructure.”

In the territory of La Plata, there are currently only two descents: one at Villa Elisa and the other at the end of the route at diagonal 74. The original project provides for 2 more descents: in addition to the 520 there is another projected at the height of the Ecological Park.

It should be noted that avenue 520 (provincial route 13) with which the new descent will connect is a fundamental artery in the greater La Plata region, that links national route 2 and provincial route 36 with the city of La Platathe zone of petrochemical center of Ensenada and Puerto La Plata. It crosses the horticultural and floricultural productive zone of the regionin addition to being the seat of numerous industrial companies, commercial service centers, hospitals and the Regional Market.

The highway concentrates a high flow of private, public and cargo transport. Because there is still no connection to the highway, it congests the descent closest to diagonal 74, which is the access to the Buenos Aires capital.

With the materialization of this descent, it will be possible to decompress the existing traffic in diagonal 74, favoring a more balanced distribution of vehicular flows throughout the regional territory.
