MADRID, (Portaltic/EP) – WhatsApp is developing a new function, identified for WhatsApp Business, which will allow multiple platform accounts to be used on the same device, an option that would allow organizations to better manage it.
The instant messaging app continues to roll out new features to make the app easier for users to use. In this sense, WhatsApp has already launched options such as ‘companion mode’, which makes it possible to link the same account on two devices at the same time.
Now, WhatsApp is working on a new function that allows the use of several platform accounts from the same device, as WaBetaInfo has been able to verify in the update of the latest beta version of WhatsApp Business for Android 2.23.13.5, available at Google Play Store.
In this sense, WhatsApp has included a menu that will allow users to select which account they want to log into from the same device. Thus, as this medium has shown through a screenshot, the new version introduces an interface with the different saved accounts, as well as a button that indicates ‘Add account’.
Accounts you are logged into will remain open and available for use at any time. However, the user will be able to log out of any of the accounts at any time, so that they will no longer automatically appear in the menu.
This is a useful option for users to manage their conversations, with the possibility of, for example, separating work chats from conversations with friends or family. It also serves to manage notifications more efficiently, by being able to select to use one account or another depending on the needs of the moment.
In summary, it is an option that makes it easier for the user not to have to have the WhatsApp application on different devices in case they manage several accounts at the same time, but rather they can configure it so that they have access to all their conversations in a single main device.
WaBetaInfo has detailed that, according to what has been analyzed, there is evidence that it may also be compatible with the standard version of WhatsApp. In this way, the platform could be working on an identical version to bring it to all users.
