The short but intense Xbox Developer Direct of January 2023 offered us a full-bodied taste of the technical and playful potential of Go Motorsport, without however revealing a precise launch date. Fortunately, Geoff Keighley narrowed down the debut window, which for Microsoft corresponds to a generic 2023.

The Forza Motorsport presentation showed a racing simulation in great shape, rebuilt from the ground up to offer unparalleled visual fidelity, support for ray tracing, a new physics engine, tailor-made damage for each individual car, five completely new locations for the franchise and more. Sadly, the Turn 10 guys didn’t satisfy our curiosity like they did our eyesight, leaving us with a broad and generic 2023 as a launch window.

The good Geoff Keighley, presenter of the Game Awards and unshakable pillar of the video game show business, however, seems to be quite informed on the matter, since after the end of the show he intervened on his personal Twitter profile to narrow the Forza Motorsport launch window to “before the end of June 2023″. Of course, we are not talking about a precise date, but it is certainly better than the much more imprecise 2023 communicated by Xbox!

A rather crowded first half of the year is therefore expected for Microsoft, which today released – totally surprisingly – the new Hi-Fi Rush by Tango Gameworks and which has Minecraft Legends scheduled for April 18, Redfall for 2 May and The Elder Scrolls Online expansion Necrom on June 20. Who knows, maybe I’ll be able to insert Starfield too! What do you say?
