After a hot and somewhat cloudy Tuesday in La Plata, the Commune’s Hydrometeorology Directorate announced that the weather will begin to deteriorate as of this Wednesday and rains and storms of varying intensity are expected for the next few days.
“The day will end with a warm atmosphere and somewhat cloudy skies in the city of La Plata. Conditions will tend to deteriorate starting tomorrow night, with the chance of precipitation and scattered storms on Thursday”they assured through their Twitter account.
Increasing cloudiness, warm weather and moderate winds from the east, rotating to the northeast, are expected for Wednesday. Deteriorates towards night. The minimum temperature will be 21°C while the maximum will reach 30°C.
On Thursday, meanwhile, the sky will dawn cloudy, with probable precipitation and scattered storms, and moderate winds from the east. The minimum will be around 20°C and the maximum 26°C.
For this reason, the Municipality of La Plata convened today a meeting of the Municipal Emergency Operating Committee (COEM). According to the state-of-the-art technology available to the Municipality, the local Hydrometeorology Department anticipated a “potential risk situation for Thursday”given that “the probability of moderate to locally heavy precipitation is recorded”.
In this context, the local authorities met to analyze the different scenarios that arise, establish monitoring of the situation and start coordinated work with the different areas of government.
Finally, on Friday cloudy to partly cloudy skies are forecast, with probable rains in the early hours of the day, then improving. The thermometer will oscillate between 18°C and 26°C.
