At 76 years old, Sylvester Stallone seems to be far from wanting to retire. The eternal Rocky and Rambo once again returns to the screen, this time starring in his first TV series, tulsa kingwhich premieres this Sunday (25) on Paramount +.

In the plot, Stallone leaves the pose of an action hero to live Dwight Manfredi, a dangerous mobster who, after 25 years in prison, returns to action and needs to face a world very different from before. For starters, he’s exiled by his former bosses and needs to leave New York behind. With that, he decides to go to the city of Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he decides to build his new empire.

And Manfredi’s first major challenge in his new venture is that the chosen location does not have the criminal profile he was used to. With no big bad guys to recruit, he’s forced to work with far more unlikely people.

In addition to having Stallone himself in the lead role as a great attraction, tulsa king there is also another renowned figure behind the scenes. The series is produced by Terence Winter, screenwriter of the legendary The Sopranos, one of the biggest and most important series about the mafia. With that, the expectation is that we will see some of that DNA in the new story.
