When it comes to work environmentnot everyone can afford to choose their favorite smartphone, especially if you are constantly dealing with sensitive information. This is why many companies are never looking for the latest technology but, on the contrary, aim for solid, stable products with frequent security updates and long term.
If you are looking for a smartphone that reflects these prerogatives and you were aiming for the products of Xiaomi or its sub-brands, here is a list of the company’s devices that have received the “sticker” from Google Android Enterprise Recommended (AER). But what does this acronym mean? What products are part of the program and how long will they be updated?
Android Enterprise Recommended or AER is a certification for devices and service providers corporate released by Google. Products with this seal meet the stringent requirements of Google for enterprise products in terms of software and hardware and can be used with confidence by enterprises.
In the tables that follow, therefore, it is possible to find several smartphones (and a recent tablet!) which according to Google are safe for use in a business environment both from a hardware and software point of view.
And while all of the products listed below receive updates at least every 90 days, there are a few other factors to keep in mind when evaluating which smartphone to buy. For example, it is right to know when the smartphone was released on the marketbecause newer smartphones will receive updates for longer unlike other models that may be towards the end of their support period.
Another important fact to check is the end date of security updates, so that you are ready to replace the device (or at least not use it to deal with extremely sensitive data) when support ends. Also know how many android system updates will receive the smartphone you are evaluating is important, in order to know if the product will receive the innovations designed by Google for a long time.
Obviously we can only remind you of the existence of our guide to the best Xiaomi smartphones, in case you are only interested in finding the best smartphone for your budget!
