The Paramount + catalog is enriched in this month of April 2023 with new films and series. It’s less extensive than Netflix, Disney+ or Prime Video, but in this limited selection, there’s something very heavy. Old content known to almost everyone, but also a completely new program that could appeal to those nostalgic for Danny Zuko and Sandy Olsen.

The new Paramount+ releases of April 2023
In recent hours, Paramount +, a completely independent platform but available via bouquets like that of Canal +, has updated its catalog with a major release on the small screen. This is the series Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, like the movie starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John. A feature film which, like Dirty Dancing (the version with Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey), has become a pop culture reference. 45 years later, Sandy’s gang is back!
So much for the big news of the week, but since the beginning of the month, there have been some very nice people. New releases in films and animated series. We begin with an American-French production with one of the best works, if not the best of Luc Besson. Léon with Jean Reno in the role of a contract killer and Natalie Portman, a child who evolves in this risky environment in spite of herself. A classic with an actress who already had everything a great.
Ensuite, on a Shutter Island by Martin Scorsese with Leonardo DiCaprio. A thriller executed with a master hand and brilliantly interpreted that knows how to play with the viewer until the very end. Avoid researching it if you haven’t seen it, at the risk of spoiling yourself. To relax and laugh in a WTF atmosphere as possible, there is the trilogy Scary Movie which parodies, among other things, the slasher franchise of Wes Craven, Scream.

The Paramount+ programs of April 2023 not to be missed
In addition to the Paramount+ novelties of April 2023 which are already available, at the end of the month, subscribers will be able to (re)discover the iconic Forrest Gump. One of the greatest roles of Tom Hanks which was entrusted to him by Robert Zemeckis, the director of Back to the future, Who Framed Roger Rabbit? etc.
Content more for “adults”, but the Paramount Plus line-up also offers programs entirely for children with the Baby Shark or Peppa Pig animated series. Older people can turn to Japanese anime and not just any. There are seasons of Hunter X Hunter, Naruto & Naruto Shippuden, and Assassination Classroom.
Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies (disponible)
The Pink Ladies and the T-Birds return but without John Travolta et Olivia Newton-John – who died in 2022. Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies takes place before the events of the cult Grease, four years to be exact. A series that pays particular attention to the band of high school girls in pink jackets. “In 1954, before the reign of rock’n’roll, four rebellious misfits dare to have fun in their own way, triggering a moral upheaval that will forever change their school, Rydell High ».
A television show that looks in line with the original with sequences, inside and outside the school, punctuated of course by very musical moments with a remix of the song “Grease is the Word”. Music already in the 1978 film.
Shutter Island (disponible)
When a great actor (Leonardo DiCaprio) and a great director (Martin Scorsese) meet, it often sparks and it has never been more true than with this duo. After Aviator et Infiltratorsthe two men found themselves on the same set to Shutter Island. A psychological thriller where DiCaprio can have fun demonstrating the extent of his talent.

Forrest Gump (19 avril)
Another unmissable which arrives on April 19, 2023, the funny and moving Forrest Gump. The film with multiple Oscars, including that of the best film, won during the 1995 edition. Forrest Gump, a man suffering from autistic disorders, will write his story and History by adopting several hats. That of a soldier during the Vietnam War, of a table tennis or American football celebrity, meeting the President of the United States John Fitzgerald Kennedy, or simply being him.
Scary Movie, Scary Movie 2 et Scary Movie 3 (disponibles)
Essential franchise of the 2000s, the Scary Movie have only ever had one goal: to make people laugh as much as possible with wacky films that parody or refer to other films. During the five episodes of the saga, we were able to have diversions of Scream as said above, of Remember last summer, Sixth Sense, The Blair Witch Project, The Ring, American Pie and so many others. Comedies written by two of the Wayans brothers.

After being invited in the subjects of the Bac with One Piece, the series Naruto & Naruto Shippuden are available on Paramount+. Something to keep you busy for quite a while, because all in all, there are 720 episodes to watch. Two adaptations based on the volumes of the eponymous manga which is among one of the best-selling comics in the world, all origins combined alongside Asterix, One Piece or the adventures of Goku, Vegeta and the whole Dragon Ball clique.
