A Windows-11-Update with the label KB5025239 causes difficulties for several users. Actually, the update should close several security gaps, but after the installation, among other things, reduced performance can occur, as reported by Windows Latest. Errors in the navigation menu were also reported.
For some users, some desktop shortcuts no longer work. Associated icons are often unresponsive and may disappear and then reappear.
Uninstall update again
Among other things, the jerky File Explorer (explorer.exe). This can crash for some users. In addition, the SSD slows down. The SSD performance issues cause slower boot times. An incorrect display of the Trusted Platform Module status in the security settings was also reported.
It is unclear how many users are affected. According to reports, however, these problems are not widespread. There is currently no workaround, but users can uninstall the update via the progress display in the Windows Update menu.
