In the video, Adrian Chmielarz, Creative Director at The Astronauts, uses the Hunger revolver as an example to explain how the weapons in Witchfire can be used particularly effectively. Hunger feeds on critical hits, for example. So if enemies are hit precisely in certain places, the player will receive more powerful projectiles when reloading the weapon. Multiple critical hits in a row amplify this effect. High marksmen can also activate an elemental effect and freeze enemies with ice magic.
Witchfire is set to launch soon as an early access title on the Epic Games Store, but unfortunately an exact date is still unknown. Versions for Steam and the consoles from Sony and Microsoft will follow later.
