A sober sport-oriented watch
At first glance, the Garmin Venu 2 looks like any classic leather watch, a sober design totally assumed by the manufacturer since what matters is what’s inside. With its diameter of 135 to 200 mm, it is intended for large wrists. People with thinner wrists should go for the Garmin Venu 2S instead. So we have here a rather imposing model with a 45 mm diameter screen, but still light to carry.
The screen is a 1.3-inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of 416 x 416 pixels. With 320 pixels per inch, the screen is pleasant to look at, the display is crisp, bright and the contrast excellent. The brightness can even automatically adjust to three levels according to your environment, and you can manually adjust it to ten levels. With its Gorilla Glass 3 protection and 5 ATM water resistance, it can easily follow you on your extreme hikes up to 50 meters deep.
A coach who follows you everywhere and for a long time
Whether on the Garmin Venu 2 or the other connected watches of this brand, GPS tracking is particularly effective, it must be said that it is the specialty of the American company. In addition to the classic step counter, heart rate monitor and oximeter, the Garmin Venu 2 can accurately calculate the distance traveled during a workout as well as your pace, tracking your route and the number of calories burned. Being particularly effective, the GPS is very energy-intensive. Autonomy has also been calculated at ten days in average use.
If this connected watch is not at the level of the Samsung or Apple models, it is because it has some shortcomings. The impossibility of making calls and the absence of speakers for example.
