Mexico City.- A woman died from a stray bullet, after an attempted assault on a business in Ciudad Nezahualcóyotl.
The first reports indicate that it was 8:05 p.m., when at least two assailants wanted to commit a robbery at a plastics and agglutinated store on Avenida Adolfo López Mateos, almost on the corner with Glorieta de Colón street, Colonia Evolución.
The employees of the place tried to avoid the assault and struggled with the criminals, causing the firearm to be activated; a bullet hit a woman who was walking on the sidewalk some 10 meters away.
The assailants fled the scene and employees called 911 to attend to the woman.
Municipal Emergency Services arrived at the scene and found the victim without vital signs.
Municipal and State Police protect the body of the woman, waiting for the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Mexico, who will carry out the removal of the body.
