At the sub-venue, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, the women’s field hockey team drew 1-1 with the Barbados team in the second game of the group round.
Puerto Rico is with one point in the standings with a record of two games, one loss and one draw. Barbados surpasses it with four points (2-1-1) and dominates the Dominican Republic team with six points (2-2-0).
The Bermuda team is last without knowing wins or draws. This meeting will be on Saturday at 4:00 pm (2:00 pm in El Salvador).
The best two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals. In group A, Cuba is the leader with four points. Trinidad and Tobago is second with three points, Mexico is third (one point) and Jamaica is winless.
Second victory for men’s volleyball
The men’s volleyball team continued on the winning path in the group stage of the XXVI Central American and Caribbean Games San Salvador 2023.
The six national team comfortably defeated, 25-19, 25-16 and 25-19, the team from Trinidad and Tobago. The Puerto Ricans’ record is 2-0, since their first victory was on Wednesday against Centro Caribe Sports (Guatemala).
The next appointment will be this Thursday against Trinidad and Tobago at 12:30 noon (10:30 am El Salvador).
Puerto Rico will close the preliminary round this Friday against El Salvador at 10:00 pm (8:00 pm from Puerto Rico).
