To start the year, the Xbox Game Pass is set to Japanese time with the arrival of flagship Japanese video game titles. Two new opuses in the saga personas and especially monster hunter rise are added to the catalog.
The year 2023 is off to a good start for Xbox Game Pass. The unlimited subscription games service has unveiled the titles that will be added to the catalog in January. And the first salvo is quite meager, but not devoid of quality.
Thus arrive in particular new opuses of the saga personas and especially Monster Hunter Rise. The sign of a certain attraction of the Game Pass for Japanese games which have long been lacking.
Games coming to Xbox Game Pass in January 2023
Few titles are announced to start the year, but they have in common to give pride of place to quality Japanese games.
After personas 5the service welcomes two other titles of the saga, Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden. The first takes players on an RPG where they will have to master the power of the heart (his Persona) and discover the truth about the Dark Hour, a “hidden” hour between one day and the next when strange events occur. In Persona 4, the hero and his friends face a series of murders that occur after discovering a door to another world.
Released a few years ago, the two Atlus titles benefit from modernized versions graphically, but also in gameplay (choice of difficulty level, language options, backup, etc.).
And to top it off, the Game Pass offers one of the most emblematic games of Japanese video gaming, Monster Hunter Rise. This action and role-playing game highlights Japanese folklore where heroes come up against fearsome monsters and try to prevent Calamity from taking over the world. The hunt is on!
