YouTube Music is getting a major redesign of its Library tab. Since the year 2018, Google has not changed anything in the YouTube Music Library, while the Home and Explore tab, as well as the playback screen, have been constantly updated.

Google releases the new layout of the YouTube Music Library for everyone
The first change is at the top of the screen on the left side, where touching “Library” will open a drop-down menu below with the options “Downloads”, “Device Files” and “Library”. Another way to access this same menu is by tapping twice quickly on the “Library” tab button, located at the bottom right corner.
Another change is in the way History is accessed. There is now a dedicated History button at the top right corner of the left side of the magnifying glass.
There is also a filter system at the top, where the user can select between Playlists, Songs (songs), Albums and Artists. This way it will be easier to find what you are looking for. If you select the playlist, songs or albums option, a new filter button called Downloads will appear, but if you tap on “Artists”, the “Subscriptions” button will appear.
Just below the filter options, there is a button to sort the content into “recent activity”, “recently added”, and “recently played”.
Release and availability
The new library interface of the YouTube Music app is now available for Android and iOS (iPhone) phones, as well as Android and iPadOS (iPad) tablets.
