After Xbox’s notable absence from the Game Awards, gamers are hoping rumors of a conference earlier this year will be confirmed. Today, Jeff Grubb comes to add a layer to the noises of corridors, while specifying the scale of a project which could be announced.
A small Xbox project soon to be announced?
The journalist was a guest on the latest episode of The XboxEra Podcast. On this occasion, a donor asked if Jeff Grubb could communicate information around Xbox. This is how he revealed that during the conference which should take place during the first quarter of 2023, a brand new project will be announced.
Without saying too much, he explains that the title is of the level of Pentiment, that is to say a production which does not require the means of production of a AAA. The title would be developed by an Xbox studio other than Obsidian.
This event that everyone is hinting at for early next year, I’m not sure what everyone has said about it. But I’ve heard about it, and I would say that one of the games that will be there should be a Pentiment level game from a first party studio.
It is obviously necessary to take this information with tweezers, but remember all the same that Jeff Grubb has always revealed elements which ultimately turned out to be true. Let’s hope that the event will not take too long to be announced to finally hope to see something new stamped Xbox.
