A Xiaomi announced this Tuesday (18) its new decoder model compatible with the Google TV operating system, an interactive platform that features a modern interface and support for several streaming services, such as YouTube, Netflix, Prime Video and Spotify, for example, offering a broad portfolio of content to subscribers.
The TV Box S 4K, the name given to the Chinese product, has a modern and elegant design and can be used in any environment thanks to its compact dimensions and improved connectivity. This device boasts state-of-the-art configurations including a powerful processor and Dolby Atmos and DTS-HD audio modes.

As stated in the product data sheet, the decoder has 4K output resolution (3840 x 2160) and a Quad-Core Cortex-A55 CPU with an ARM Mali G31 MP2 video card and 2 GB of RAM memory, in addition to 8 GB of internal storage. Connectivity delivers WiFi Dual Band (2.4 and 5 GHz) with Bluetooth 5.2.
Still in connectivity, the model still has an HDMI input, a USB 2.0, a power connector and, finally, a 3.5 mm P2 auxiliary input. Image quality supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+ ensuring more vivid colors and enhanced contrast when playing movies and series.
Among the highlights of the 2nd generation TV Box is the 360° Bluetooth control with a clean layout featuring only the buttons most used by the user, such as on/off, Google Assistant, Netflix, Prime Video and YouTube.
Although it appears on Xiaomi’s official website, the decoder has not yet had details about availability and price revealed, so we still don’t know the value of this decoder.
