The clip of the song Plastic, It’s Fantastic” d’Elmer Food Beat, banned by YouTube for those under 18, is online again for audiences of all ages.
As noticed the newspaper West France, the clip of the song Plastic, It’s Fantastic, interpreted by the Nantes group Elmer Food Beat, is again available on YouTube since April 25 for all audiences. The title had been banned the day before by the platform for those under 18.
“This video may be inappropriate for some users.” This is what was displayed on the YouTube video of the music video for the song Plastic, It’s Fantastic. The user then had to prove that he was over 18 to view it, reports Ocean Press.
The reason for such a blockage would come from a sequence that appears in the second minute of the clip. One of the protagonists slips his hand into the fly of his pants. According to YouTube, which warned the music group, this footage “violates our policies on nudity and sexuality”, and constitutes “inappropriate content for certain users”.
Since 2008, the clip has been viewed nearly 985,000 times. This title, released in 1990 included in the album 30 cm, was intended to raise awareness about the wearing of condoms in the midst of the turmoil of the AIDS years. It had even been used by the Ministry of Health in its prevention campaigns.

On May 5, the group from Nantes will release their new album recorded in the same studio as 30 cm, over thirty years ago.
