YouTube Shorts adopts a new monetization system that is already in place, but there are some rules. Check out!
As of this Wednesday (1st), a new monetization system for videos on YouTube Shorts. The new rules replace the old YouTube Shorts Fund and offer better benefits to creators. Thereby, only those who signed the contracts earlier will be able to share in the profits. Those who took advantage of Fan Funding will have other criteria.

To qualify for the new YouTube Shorts monetization program, you must have at least thousand subscribers and 10 million views in posts from the last 90 days. You can also qualify with 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 hours of viewing in the last year. Partners will also have access to a variety of resources, including long-form videos.
Only original content is eligible for monetization. Videos from movies, music and compilations from other channels are not accepted.

YouTube recommends that creators opt in to all monetization modules to take full advantage of the platform’s earning potential. These include the “Short Maintenance”, the “Watch Page Monetization Module” and the “Commercial Product Addendum”.
After signing up, YouTube Shorts creators will have their channels evaluated to verify they meet monetization policies. These policies apply to all participants or interested parties in the partner program.
